Ok, so while I was browsing online doing some e-window shopping at places I can’t afford while working on an in-progress birthday wishlist– I came across this particular sweater at Brown’s Fashion which immediately made me think of both of Northstar and Aurora from Alpha Flight:
Aw, they’re like the Wonder Twins, but without any of those seriously creepy incestuous overtones. Wanda and Pietro Maximoff— I am also looking at you two.
Like seriously, look at it– and then go back to the picture. Even when I am not at work, I am thinking about comics. (Which according to the besto must mean something, well what she actually did say was “when you do something you love, it consumes you.”) Lady, I have been living in the belly of the best for over 15 years. Inspired by this, I decided to furnish the rest of the “costume”.
- Sweater: Louise Goldin’s “Star Polo Sweater”.
- Leggings: American Apparel’s “Lame Hi-waisted Legging”.
- Boots: Doc Marten’s 1460 W-8 Eye (White Patent) Boot.
I somehow don’t see white patent leather being a problem for Northstar, as I imagine him to be fussy about his appearance. And well there’s the ability to manipulate light, so I’m assuming scuffs won’t be a problem.
- Gloves: adidas by Stella McCartney’s Golf Gloves.
Damn, I’m good.
Link of the Night:
- Project Rooftop.
- Met Hosts “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” from May 7th to September 1st.
