Oh man. A friend just posted a clip of from Really Rosie, and a dozen memories came flooding back. Written by Maurice Sendak and performed by Carole King who provides vocals, and Rosie’s speaking voice– Really Rosie was later animated in 1975. This along with the Alphabet people whom I’ve already blogged about before might account for the fact that despite being born in ’85, a lot of my early memories are pretty darn similiar to those of my peers who are anywhere from 10 to 15 years older than me. Combine this with the fact that I was living abroad for most of my formative years– I am essentially a 45-year-old 23-year-old.
